I finished my POG2 (philosophy of government two). It wasn't hard to do at all. I would like you, the reader, to read it and comment it, along with your opinion on what you think of my POG2 and how I could improve for my future essays.
The Constitution does effectively resolve conflicts because during the ideal society, the citizens were given the freedom to protest against the iChip, I was able to speak my opinions about the dangers of the iChip and a citizen who was wrongfully imprisoned received a fair trial.
According to the first amendment, citizens were able to go against the iChip. When I spoke about the dangers of the iChip, there were a group of citizens protesting behind me and supporting my objections against the iChip. We protested by using a poster that said, “No iDeal”, but the president took the sign and destroyed it. That violates our Fourth Amendment. In the
Amendment, it said that we have the right to be secure in our persons… houses… and papers. The president took the poster that belonged to the citizens, ripped it up and stomped on it.
Secondly, I spoke about my opinion on the iChip and its dangers. I stated that the iChip could explode in your brain if you had it implanted in your brain and you thought too much. It is also said that the government could communicate with you, and even control you’re brain. That would be invading our privacy rights and violating the Fourth Amendment.
Finally, when the president went on national television to make a speech about the iChip, one of the citizens, Shay, threatened him by saying, “I will blow up your house if you do not shut up.” Shay got arrested for that, when she clearly was using her rights to freedom of speech. She had a right to speak what she wanted to and plus, she did not have an actual plan to explode the president’s house. She had to attend the Supreme Court and the Justices reviewed the amendments and stated that she was not guilty, according to the First Amendment.
In conclusion, our constitution protects us all the time, and does effectively resolve conflicts because the citizens were able to protest; I was able to speak my opinions against the iChip and Shay was released by the Supreme Court Justices in the end of the iDeal society.
